Global Solidarity and Structural Resistance: Recontextualizing Palestinian Liberation
Original framing: “Towards Palestinian Liberation: How resistance travels across borders” — Middle East Eye
Indigenous Palestinian knowledge systems, including oral histories, land-based practices, and cultural memory, are central to resistance. These systems are often erased by colonial narratives that prioritize Western epistemologies. Incorporating indigenous perspectives reveals the deep-rooted connection between land, identity, and resistance.
Palestinian resistance is not an isolated phenomenon but a node in a global network of anti-colonial and anti-imperialist movements.
By integrating indigenous knowledge, historical context, and cross-cultural perspectives, we can better understand the structural forces that sustain occupation and the mechanisms of resistance that challenge them. The role of international solidarity, artistic expression, and digital activism is critical in sustaining and amplifying this resistance. Future pathways must prioritize inclusivity, decentralization, and transnational cooperation to build a more just and liberated world.
